Supercharging leadership for Australia’s for-purpose sector

In case you missed it, on 29 July 2025, Social Impact Leadership Australia (SILA) announced a game-changing $16.4 million investment to supercharge leadership across Australia’s for-purpose sector. Alongside The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund, Snow Foundation, and the Paul Ramsay Foundation, VFFF is proud to be providing funding to ensure the SILA program will continue for another five years, supporting leaders who are driving real change in communities nationwide.

SILA isn’t just about leadership, it’s about transformational impact. The program offers a fully funded, immersive experience that blends executive coaching, adaptive leadership training, and a tailored sabbatical. It’s designed to help CEOs and senior leaders recharge, reflect, and return with renewed purpose – while ensuring their organisations are well supported during the time away.

And speaking of purpose-driven leaders, Cohort 5 for NSW/ACT was also announced! This inspiring group includes changemakers from organisations including Youth Insearch Foundation, KidsXpress, Schools Plus and Environmental Leadership Australia, among others. Their work spans youth advocacy, refugee support, education, and more. These leaders are already making waves, and SILA is set to amplify their impact even further.
