Claire Mannion appointed Chief Executive Officer of VFFF
The Board of the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Mannion as Chief Executive Officer, effective Monday, 7 September 2026.
Claire has been a valued member of VFFF since 2020 and has served as Foundation Manager and, most recently, Acting Chief Executive Officer. During her tenure, she has contributed to VFFF’s strategy, governance and day-to-day operations, and led the team delivering the Backing Young People strategy. She has also strengthened VFFF’s engagement with grant partners, the philanthropic sector and successive generations of the Fairfax family.
Claire brings extensive philanthropic and leadership experience to the role. Before joining VFFF, she held senior roles with the Macquarie Group Foundation, icare foundation, Perpetual Private and the Fossil Foundation, as well as earlier roles in the not-for-profit and consulting sectors.

As CEO, Claire will continue to advance VFFF’s strategic priorities, including backing young people, supporting rural and regional communities, strengthening youth participation and family engagement, and sustaining trusted, high-impact partnerships. She will work closely with the VFFF Board, the VFFF team and the CEO of Cambooya Pty Ltd, Ben Ware.
