Backing Leaders at VFFF’s Annual General Meeting

On Wednesday Dec 4, an energetic VFFF AGM was held with three generations of the Fairfax family in attendance. Honouring the theme of the VFFF Annual Report, Backing Leaders, we took the opportunity to recognise a number of leaders in the VFFF ecosystem. The AGM was a special moment to farewell and honour the contributions of Directors Angus White and Sue Cridge.

At the AGM we also welcomed a 4th generation family member as a new VFFF Member and welcomed four new Directors to the Board, William White, Emilia Kefford, Sam Koslowski and Peter Johnstone.

With a focus on storytelling, the AGM provided the opportunity to hear from a Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Fellow, Jamil Tye, who spoke about the importance of storytelling from a First Nations perspective. This led to the spectacular launch of the VFFF Podcast, ‘Stories of Giving and Receiving’ which you should add to your Christmas holiday listening list! Emilia Kefford, our podcast host and third generation family member, has done an incredible job bringing her idea to life and highlighting the stories of six recipients of the VFFF Backing the Future grant program.

Be sure to watch the trailer and listen to the podcast!
