Earlier this year VFFF leapt at the opportunity to join an innovative collaboration between some of Australia’s leading philanthropic foundations to establish the Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) Grant program. Managed by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, the WISE Grant program was designed to offer grant funding of more than $4.7 million to successful applicants.
There was plenty to be inspired about at the recent Social Impact in the Regions conference held in Coffs Harbour. With a program of speakers designed to help attendees accelerate and amplify their impact in their community, it was no wonder that so many changemakers chose to take part.
In May 2023, ten amazing individuals were selected as the first QLD Backing the Future cohort. Below is a brief summary of their early stage ideas to support rural and regional young people.
